The 13th edition of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/189" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yare - 2023">YARE</a> (Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience) is set to take place from 15 to 17 March 2023. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/189" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yare - 2023">YARE</a> is a B2B event and a meeting point for professionals in the superyacht industry, offering conferences and workshops surrounding yachting sales and refits led by leading experts. The event is held in one of Italy’s most prominent nautical regions, Livorno.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260868/image/large-947cde724a7d7543ea84a05b0d774587.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260868">Many industry professionals will gather at the event for three days of industry-focussed discussion and learning. Approximately 100 superyacht captains in the 40-60 metre category will be hosted at the event, representing flags from across the globe.A long list of companies from across the superyacht industry will be in attendance at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/189" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yare - 2023">YARE</a>, with approximately 30 percent of companies from Italy and the remaining 70 percent from Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Due to be completed in 2020, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/995" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Vulkan Shipyard S.L. (Company)">Vulkan</a> project VK-1 has been sold after having been shipped to Turkey in October for completion. Construction of the 42.1-metre all-aluminium yacht began in 2007 to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1456" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Germanischer Lloyd AG (Company)">Germanischer Lloyd</a> classification and was originally due to be completed in 2009.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/105224/image/large-f903868387203c1dfb3f3a3e542f7ef5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/105224"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/105221/image/large-2cd9b49cf1b8e049bc560f8ced255217.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/105221">The 423 GT tri-deck yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms, and eight crew can sleep on board and attend to guests’ needs. Vulkan Shipyard S.L. has started its Nautical Training School, a pioneering model in Europe with an emphasis on the training of high quality human resources in the fields of naval construction and particularly specializing itself in the world of yachts. The first course that will be taught in the school, starting on the 3rd of March, will be on Yacht Crew Training. The course is aimed for professionals from the navigation sector, yacht crew, professionals of the hotel and catering business who want to specialize themselves in working on yachts. This initiative will try to face the big demand that exists of about 3.000 positions for crew on yachts, in addition to the numerous yachts over 25 meters which are under construction. Being both theoretical and practical, this course has a complete syllabus organized in independent units on security training, protocol and services on board, navigation and maneuver concepts, yacht maintenance and English. Naval engineers, captains of both yachts and the Merchant Navy as well as professionals with a vast experience in protocol will be in charge of teaching the pupils, who will obtain a private certificate and will also be included in the crew members database that Vulkan Shipyard makes available to shipowners. The school is located on the first floor of the shipyard’s industrial building in Puerto de Sagunto (Valencia), and has its own access and car park. It takes up a total area of 800 m2 and has three classrooms which can hold up to 20 people each, as well as three workshops. <noscript></noscript>

Vulkan Shipyard’s nautical training school trains crew for yachts

The first major yacht show of the year, Boot Düsseldorf took place from the 19th until the 27th of January. Boot Düsseldorf is known throughout the industry as Europe's biggest watersports and active leisure event. Boot Düsseldorf 2008

The Spanish Vulkan Shipyard will be present at Boot Düsseldorf 2008 from the 19th to the 27th of January. Vulkan Shipyard is able to build and design steel and aluminum megayachts, as wel as repair, refit or maintain them. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/123904/image/large-332e524083e89381f2ec40b8028c4d86.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/123118">The first yacht is currently under construction for a German owner. The 40m <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1602">VK_1</a> costs 18 million Euro and when completed she is the biggest yacht build and designed in Spain. Vulkan Shipyard at Boot Düsseldorf

Saturday January 19 Boot Düsseldorf will open its doors for the public. The show will run until January 27 and like last year there is a special “superyacht show” in hall 7A. Vulkan Shipyard is a shipyard, which is essentially devoted to the design and building of large aluminium yachts and to the repair and maintenance of all types of yacht. At just 10 miles north from Valencia, Vulkan Shipyard occupies a surface area of 42,000 m2 within the seaport of Sagunto, and employs over 100 highly qualified professionals. Vulkan Shipyard: Your reference in the Mediterranean

Vulkan Shipyard has set up the first Shipbuilding School in Europe. This pioneering initiative puts its faith in highly trained human resources in the various sectors that make up yacht construction. It represents an opportunity to strengthen the tradition of the yachting sector in the region and to encourage its industries. The Shipbuilding School is located on the first level of the shipyard industrial building and has a separate entrance and parking facilities. It occupies a surface area of 800 m² and consists of three classrooms (with 20 places each) and three workshops. Engineers, technicians, and professionals with experience in teaching the various specialities give courses on boilermaking, carpentry, protection, and finishing for equipment, services, and engines. <noscript></noscript>
