The company Wesmar Europe will be present at METS Marine Equipment Trade Show, held from November 16 to 18th in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is an opportunity to discover the full range of products that Wesmar has to offer, including the brand new system for stabilizing your vessel active as well as at anchor, DSP4800, and the full range of bow and stern thrusters. Both can be installed as original equipment, as an upgrade opportunity or refit. Wesmar, since it’s foundation in 1965, has established itself as a world leader in research and development of marine equipment. A position that Wesmar has kept by numerous patents and major innovations, like the invention of the counter rotating propellers for thrusters and of the electronic gyroscope to control stabilizer fins. Today, the new company Wesmar Europe is founded to distribute the full range of Wesmar products for professional and yachting applications, making this high quality equipment available to an even bigger part of the European market. Operating from the main office at Port the La Rague, South of France, Wesmar Europe is now working on expanding the market and developing a reliable dealer/service network through the whole of Europe. The 2010 Mets show is the first time Wesmar Europe will exhibit. At Mets 2010 Wesmar Europe’s main focus is on the world renowned stainless steel Bow and Stern thruster rang, and on the newly developed digital stabilizing system, the DSP4800. Within this range of stabilizing systems, Wesmar offers a model that works active while boating, and a model that combines active as well as at anchor stabilization, all with the push of a button. The digital three axis gyro that operates the stabilizing fins represents a revolution in the world of stabilization. It has multiple sensors, processing a mind blowing 4600 inputs a second, sensing the roll rate and it’s acceleration as well as the heel, which allows it to keep the boat level at various speeds and extremely low roll rates. And all this without any hydraulic hoses running up to your control station! It’s effectiveness in most sea conditions can allow the reduction of about 10 to 15% in full consumption, depending on hull shapes.
