Following the formation of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6402" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TendersX (Company)">TendersX Group</a>, a new sister company of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2547" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Xtenders (Company)">Xtenders</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4947" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Xquip (Company)">Xquip</a>, the division, headed by Gerben Boomsma, announced their partnership with Icelandic boat company Rafnar Maritime. Born from the cold, dark waters of the North Atlantic, the hull is designed as a combination between the displacement hull and V-hull forms, with a shallow central keel and a V behind it, allowing the water to flow around the keel, build pressure within the V and lift the vessel out of the water.This means that rather than a planing vessel, where the bow is raised out of the water, which can minimise visibility for the driver, the entire boat is lifted. This innovation reduces the slamming effect, common with planing hull yachts, by up-to 95% while improving the mobility on the water tenfold.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/200096/image/large-e1762b28dee34ebc178eda433480b690.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/200096">Designed with the passenger in mind, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6403" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rafnar (Company)">Rafnar</a> hull prevents injury incurred through slamming and it also reduces time on the water by maintaining the vessel speed, even in rough sea conditions. The Amsterdam-based company will go to market as <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6403" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rafnar (Company)">Rafnar</a> Netherlands and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6403" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rafnar (Company)">Rafnar</a> Germany, producing and distributing these highly advanced and sought after vessels.As well as ensuring the comfort and safety of those aboard, the innovative hull also ensures that <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6403" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rafnar (Company)">Rafnar</a> tenders have a much longer lifespan than their planing counterparts. The fleet consists of carbon tenders in a range of 8 to 12 meter and 2 <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1455" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SOLAS (Company)">SOLAS</a> rescue ribs. November is here, which means METSTRADE is just around the corner and so is the SuperYacht Times Party. The countdown to the SuperYacht Times Party continues

With the first unit delivered in 2017 to her iconic Lürssen-built mothership Aurora, the Dutch tender experts at Xtenders are proud to present their D-RIB multipurpose tender. Measuring 9.9-metres with a beam of 3.2-metres, this guest tender is one of the most versatile and comfortable RIB tenders in the impressive Xtenders fleet. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/29820/image/large-db281b0dc0b9bf9e5334e602f181d710.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/29820"> Her lightweight carbon hull together with the rigid bulwarks provide an impressively stable and seaworthy platform for transfers in various weather conditions for up to twelve guests and two crew. Further enhancing guest comfort on board is two spacious sitting areas - one in the bow and one behind the helm - as well as an additional sun awning, two fridges and multiple storage compartments. Equipped with a 370hp Yanmar engine she has a cruising speed of 25 knots and can easily reach speeds up to an impressive 45 knots without losing the smoothness of the ride.&nbsp;Other notable features on board include the bow, which can be automatically transformed into an open gangway to provide easy access to the shore or facilitate bow-to mooring. The angle of the beachlander can be adjusted to particular beaching circumstances. In order to minimise the storage height to 1.7 metres, the console folds down and a single-post t-top bimini can be electrically brought down using a mechanism developed by Xtenders. Designed with usability in mind, the whole operation takes less than a minute to complete.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/29809/image/large-fbf148636dc0b2214dc5a3520ba780ac.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/29809"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/29804/image/large-18a32359169489ccc2b637e1db0b1479.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/29804">Though making yacht-to-shore guest transfers a fantastic experience, this tender is also perfect for making the most of small day trips to hidden coves and snorkelling spots.
