The largest and most significant trade show in the leisure marine industry, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4374" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="METSTRADE (Company)">METSTRADE</a> will be bigger and better than ever, with new pavilions, features and significantly, the show will run from Wednesday-Friday for the first time ever. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/267996/image/large-3106b4ef189a567940f2a27d225516bc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/267996">Foiling Technology PavilionOne of the new features of this edition is the Foiling Technology Pavilion, built in collaboration with The Foiling Organisation, the international association for the foiling industry and its professionals. The partnership, which was announced during the Foiling Awards prize giving ceremony held in March in Milan, has led to the pavilion which will showcase manufacturers of foiling hardware and technology and to educate trade visitors in Hall 7.With confirmed exhibitors such as Caponnetto Hueber, Foil Chemy and Vakaros, the pavilion will showcase the impressive progress made with high-end racing technology towards adoption on mainstream series-produced yachts and boats. The pavilion will serve as a one stop shop for boat builders and designers who want to know more about what is involved in employing foiling within sail and power yachts of the immediate future. Sampling the state-of-the-art of the foiling industry worldwide, it will also feature a knowledge stage for discussion on all the trending topics in the sector.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/267999/image/large-2a224bf00e11b5adb9fdf092072236a6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/267999">Luca Rizzotti, Founder of The Foiling Organization and Founder and President of We Are Foiling events ecosystem states: “Foiling is changing the water mobility system. Aimed at assisting entrepreneurs to launch or scale a business in the marine leisure, yachting and superyachting industries, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5940" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yachting Ventures (Company)">YV</a> supports participants through an action-packed 6 weeks of mentorship, connections, and education.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/210305/image/large-4c18fe331bae33facfe40f5b4465b7f4.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/210305"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4509" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SuperYacht Times (Company)">SuperYacht Times’</a> own founder Merijn de Waard is among the line-up of mentors who will again offer his support and insights to the entrepreneurs. The accelerator now has more than 30 mentors, who are all entrepreneurs, and who have successfully started, scaled and/or sold businesses in this space. As the best example of how effective the program is, below are three startups that have raised investment and hit significant milestones since participating in the accelerator:Crewdentials is a software company that is determined to revolutionise crew onboarding and certification management within the maritime industry. Their secure platform will act as a central hub to hold and share crew data, keeping multiple client systems up to date whenever a crew member updates their information.
