10 must-visit yachts at Yachts Miami Beach

Taking place in two week's time in Miami Beach, Florida, is the 29th edition of Yachts Miami Beach. The venue along Collins Avenue will once again play host to a fleet of over 500 new brokerage yachts – a display that will stretch over a mile from 41st to 54th Streets. An additional location of Yachts Miami Beach will be reserved for large superyachts. Known as Super Yacht Miami, the Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island will host more than 20 superyachts in an ‘invite-only’ show as part of the Yachts Miami Beach event.

Sunseeker 95 Yacht

Sunseeker has already launched six units in its new 95 Yacht line since debuting the first hull at the Cannes Yachting Festival last year. In regards to her performance, the 95 has a top speed of 26 knots and a range of 1,250 nm at 10 knots.

The team of Nuvolari & Lenard designed the MCY 105’s iconic exterior and luxurious guest areas and paid special attention to creating spacious exterior areas, similar to that of a much larger yacht. Her open Portuguese deck up forward and large sundeck space is unmatched in this class. The large windows in the hull on main deck provide exceptional views from the master suite.

Sophye

Sophye is Astondoa’s latest and most modern superyacht and made her first international appearance at Yachts Miami Beach last year. Also known as the Century 110 GLX, the yacht was launched last year as part of the Spanish shipyard’s centennial celebration year.

Horizon RP120

Horizon Yachts’ newly launched RP120 superyacht will make her first U.S. appearance at Yachts Miami Beach this year. With a sleek exterior profile drawn by JC Espinosa and a European-influenced interior designed in collaboration with Italian designer Luca Dini, the new RP120 model offers both luxury and functionality. A low-resistance hull design affords superior and efficient performance while her generous beam provides extremely spacious accommodations and living spaces.

Anka

Launched in 2015 as the British yacht builders’ fifth hull in their flagship 40M Class, the 40-metre Princess Yachts superyacht Anka sports an unmistakable bright turquoise hull and crisp white superstructure. Princess Yachts worked closely with British design studio Olesinski on the naval architecture and exterior design of the vessel. Her bespoke interior is the work of Princess Yachts' dedicated in-house department.

Drew

Drew is Benetti’s second yacht in its Veloce 140 line and will be representing the Italian yacht builder at this year’s Yachts Miami Beach.

Sea Racer

Sea Racer (ex-Detroit Eagle) was built by Feadship in 2000. With a top speed of 33.5 knots she is one of the fastest Feadships on the market today. She was designed to safely navigate the shallow waters of the Bahamas at high speeds.

Step One

Part of Amels’ successful Limited Edition Range, Step One was launched in Vlissingen in 2012 and features exterior design by Tim Heywood Design. Laura Sessa was responsible for her interiors, which utilises a cream and white colour palette with contrasting maple wood and white onyx.

Quinta Essentia

Quinta Essentia made a splash at the Monaco Yacht Show last year and will now once again be on display in Miami this month. She is the largest yacht built under the Admiral brand to date, with a hefty 873 Gross Tonnes of internal volume which has been exquisitely translated into grand guest areas and luxurious accommodation spaces. The all-aluminium yacht is designed by Monaco based Dobroserdov Design.

Axioma

The Turkish-built Axioma was launched in 2013 by Dunya Yachts as Red Square. The 72.5-metre yacht accommodates 12 guests in a master and five double cabins, two of which are convertible into twins. She features an exterior design by Sterling / Scott and a beach house-style interior by the legendary late designer Alberto Pinto.
