In Pictures: 125m motor yacht Maryah in action
The 125-metre motor yacht Maryah was seen cruising off the Dutch coast today as she arrived in the Netherlands for a visit to Damen Shiprepair in Vlissingen. Maryah was built as a research vessel for the Soviet Union, which was later converted at the Greek Elfsis Shipyard into the superyacht we see today and delivered in 2015.Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesConstruction on the B-970 type deep-sea research vessel Dalmorgeologiya started in the late 80s at the Szczecin Shipyard in Poland, but was never completed. The unfinished project was sold in 1995, renamed Fortune and towed to Greece where she would be completed as a luxury expedition cruise vessel. When these plans failed, the project changed hands once again and was renamed Czar when her five-year transformation into a superyacht began.
