The sailing yacht is the longest yacht to ever have been built in the Netherlands.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/235991/image/large-fd3b896c9e474a29443d2d8674938818.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/235991">The details of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7500" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco Y721127.0m (416'8&quot;)Oceanco2022">Y721</a>, also known as <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7500" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Koru127.0m (416'8&quot;)Oceanco2023">Koru</a>, superyacht have been kept tightly under wraps since her sale in 2018, which is believed to be to an American tech entrepreneur. The secretive project was first unveiled in October 2021 when she was rolled out of the shed at Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands. The hull was built in parts and was assembled by Zwijnenburg at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a>’s Zwijndrecht shipyard, which <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> purchased in 2019.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/235989/image/large-544621b4f353e1cf37210b04a9322487.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/235989">The three-masted schooner has a black steel hull with classical lines and is the largest ever built at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a>. Oceanco has announced the launch of the 127m Y721 superyacht from their Alblasserdam facility in the Netherlands.

She was first made public in 2019, with the announcement of her sale by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/227" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Moran Yacht & Ship (Company)">Moran Yacht &amp; Ship</a>, who compiled the technical specifications and are acting as supervisors of the project on behalf of the owner. The superyacht Jag has been sold to an American client, and will accommodate as many as 20 guests across 11 staterooms. The keel of this new superyacht was laid in August 2019 and she will be the flagship of the shipyard until the 120.9-metre superyacht, Project 6514, is launched in 2025. At 85m in length, the Tripp-designed Aquijo is the largest high performance ketch in the world. Built by a first time partnership between Oceanco and Vitters, she is not merely motoryacht with sails. Her twin 90-metre masts carry identical 1,192-square-meter mainsails. With all up, including code sail, her total sail area leaps to a staggering 5,051 square metres. Because of the enormity of the project, all items such as shrouds, winches, jib sheets had to be custom made. The clean modern interior, designed by Dolker + Voges, was designed to be flexible with multi-purpose spaces. Large windows provide light and a connection to the outdoor spaces. The project began in 2010 and was delivered in 2016. This is a first class sailing vessel designed to cruise around the world.

The 106.7m three-masted sailing yacht, Black Pearl, built by Oceanco and delivered to her owner in 2018, is the result of an evolutionary design by Ken Freivokh Design, Nuvolari Lenard and Villate De¬sign. A multi-level central atrium includes an all- glass lift that rises alongside the central mast, contributing to a feeling of vertical integration between the decks. Dykstra Naval Architects designed Black Pearl’s DynaRig carbon masts and sailing system. All 2,900 square metres of sails can be set at the push of a button in 7 minutes! BMT Nigel Gee collaborated with Oceanco to create Black Pearl’s hybrid propulsion system as well as other onboard systems such as waste heat recovery. In addition to wind power, she is powered by 2 x 1080kW MTU’s / 2 x 400kW electrical propulsion motors. Her accommodations include a master suite, 2 VIP suites, 2 double guest cabins and a full beam beach club, that is convert¬ible into a cinema.
