Superyacht Eclipse has finished a 4-week drydock period at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, in their Trieste San Marco yard. The yacht left the yard following succesful seatrials. Some 70 Fincantieri workers performend maintenance work on the world's largest yacht.
After the delivery of the 134 metre Serene, and now the succesful yard period of Eclipse, Fincantieri has reconfirmed it's status as a true superyacht shipyard. At the yard facilities in Muggiano, Fincantieri now continues with the construction of a second megayacht, even more challenging and demanding than the first, the 140 metre Victory.
In addition to construction, repair and refitting, Fincantieri activities in this sector also include the development of innovative concepts. Three concept projects, which are being developed on platforms engineered by Fincantieri, have been recently introduced. They are the 88 metre Virage88, designed by Andrew Winch, the 145 metre Fortissimo, designed by Ken Freivoch, and the 142 metre Armonia, styled by Andrea Vallicelli and engineered by Fincantieri Yachts.
