The Dutch shipyard, Feadship has given SuperYacht Times an exclusive update on their order book, which consists of 17 projects. It is the first time the shipyard has released their complete order book, with the company usually only announcing their projects when they are in the outfitting stage. However, with more information freely available today than ever before, and a need for more transparency in the business, Feadship has decided to release their full order book.
The 17 projects have a total combined length of 1,314.48 metres and the average length of a project on order at Feadship is 77.32 metres.
Feadship superyachts are currently being built at three different locations, however, from next year a new yard in Amsterdam will be opened. Here we look at the projects across all of the different facilities, however, we do not yet know which of the Royal Van Lent projects will be built in the new Amsterdam facility.
Kaag (& Amsterdam) – Royal Van Lent
Royal Van Lent currently has six projects underway which range from 71.5-metres to 94-metres.

814 – 93m – 2019
Project 814 (pictured above) is a 93-metre motor yacht from the drawing boards of Michael Leach Design, with an interior by Reymond Langton Design. In November 2016 her hull was completed and she is currently inside the Kaag yard and due for delivery in 2019.
815 – 73.6m – 2018
The first project to be launched from the Royal Van Lent facility is the 73.6m project 815 (photo above). Her hull was pictured in the Dutch landscape by SuperYacht Times in April 2017. As can be seen on the photos of her hull, she looks like a true adventure yacht and it will be interesting to see what the finished vessel will look like and whether the owner will use her for global exploration adventures.
Little is known about this project, and judging by her current delivery date it will be a significant time before we will see anything substantial from her.
818 – 75m – 2019
On Tuesday of this week, SYT captured the launch of the hull of project 818 (see photo above). After the launch, she was transported to Kaag for her final fitting before her delivery next year. Although details of the project are scarce, we know that the yacht will have a straight bow.
Two further projects are in build at Royal Van Lent with a total length of 165.5 metres.
Aalsmeer (Koninklijke De Vries)
The Aalsmeer yard of Koninklijke De Vries will deliver eight superyachts between now and 2020 and they will range in length from 47 metres up to 87 metres. The first will be Project 697, which has already been launched.
697 – 47m – 2018
This classically styled Feadship was launched in October and will be the first Feadship delivery of 2018. Project 697 is a tri-deck displacement yacht sporting a steel hull finished in Midnight Blue and a Matterhorn White aluminium superstructure.
Alongside her classic design, however Project 697 also features some contemporary components, including grilles on the mast, the sides of the superstructure and the main deck forward, which are part of the underlying aluminium structure (for more details about the design of Project 697, see here.)
699 – 58m – 2019
SYT captured the completed hull and superstructure of this project designed by Philippe Briand under the Vitruvius brand in October 2017 (photo above). The interior of the 58-metre all aluminium motor yacht is designed by Studio Liaigre, and described as ‘a beach house on the water’. The project management of the construction process is by MCM.
700 – 87m – 2018
Designed by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, the hull and superstructure of project 700 (photo above) were captured by SYT in June 2017 when they were transported to Aalsmeer for final fit out. The 87-metre superyacht will be launched and delivered later this year.
701 – 51m – 2018
Project 701 (pictured above) was unveiled in August 2017 when her completed hull and superstructure were launched and transported to the Aalsmeer facility. The displacement motor yacht is designed by De Voogt Naval Architects with an interior by Bannenberg & Rowell Design.
No further details have been revealed about this superyacht project.
A further three projects are in build at De Vries with a total length of 196.5 metres.
Makkum (Koninklijke De Vries)
The largest Feadship yachts are being built in the Makkum Facility. The last yacht that was launched from this facility was the 96-metre Faith, as well as the largest Feadship ever in build, the 110-metre Project 1007, which is currently under construction and due for delivery later this year.
1007 – 110m – 2018
With her 110-metre length, 1007 (photo above) will be the largest yacht ever built by Feadship and the second largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands, after the 110.1-metre Oceanco Jubilee. The exterior of project 1008 has been designed by Michael Leach Design and the completed hull and superstructure was captured by the SYT team in December 2016, while on the move to the facility in Makkum (photo above).
No further details have yet been revealed about this superyacht project.
One further project is in build at Makkum with a length of 95 metres.
