A classic is up for grabs. The 25.43-metre yacht, , was built by Feadship and launched in 1958.The motor yacht for sale is a true Dutch Pedigree as she sports an interior designed by Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design and an exterior drawn up by De Voogt Naval Architects, which has been laid onto a hull design by her builder, Feadship. She was an important vessel when launched as not only was commissioned by Mr B.E. Ruys, an important shipowner from Rotterdam, but she was the largest motor yacht under construction in the Netherlands at that time. Atalanta J has had a number of refit and maintenance appointments since the turn of the century, but she does still need a little TLC to restore her back to her former glory. The Feadship yacht for sale undertook a two-year refit in 2007, which took place in the Netherlands and was supervised by Felix Buytendijk. Seven years later she moored up at Hamburg for another makeover; her aft deck was reconfigured to bring additional storage and seating to the space. Atalanta J has proven her salt and it is believed that her previous owner tackled the trans-Atlantic passage four times single-handedly. With 52 GT and a four stateroom configuration, you don’t need to navigate alone aboard this yacht for sale though, as she can accommodate up to eight guests. Atalanta J has an owner’s stateroom with an ensuite and three separate guest suites. Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design carved out a comfortable double saloon that hosts a dining table for eight, a lounge area and a writing station. Atalanta J also offers alfresco living with a dining area snuggled underneath a fixed awning and space for sunbathing in the large outdoor lounge. Atalanta J draws power from twin Ivecoengines that allow her to cruise for 2,700 nautical miles at 9 knots, and reach a top speed of 12 knots. Photo: Dörr Jachtbetimmering
