Third hull of Vripack’s 26m explorer SUV yacht in build at Evadne

Designed by Vripack, the third hull of the 24-26m explorer yacht range is under construction at Turkish shipyard Evadne Yachts. Dubbed ‘the SUV of the seas’, the new yacht follows on from the first unit, the 25-metre Rock and is inspired by the curved structure of a Range Rover.Rock yacht anchored“It would be easier and faster to build a 26m yacht in GRP or composite, but we spend time, energy and resources to custom-build the yachts in metal to ensure they are high quality, seaworthy vessels. The owner of hull number one spends long amounts of time on board, cruising vast distances in Cyprus and the Adriatic Sea, and he enjoys his yacht immensely because it’s a go-anywhere vessel with comfort and space.” says Ali Sayakci, president of Evadne Yachts.Rock yacht interiorPhoto: Evadne YachtsRock yacht renderings Photo: Evadne YachtsDespite being built two years after Rock, the owner has requested only a few changes to the original design. One such change is an innovative kite sail system that was retrospectively designed for, and fitted to, hull number one. “It’s a three-deck boat that looks like a two-deck boat in profile, and having a sleek aesthetic was one of our original requirements,” continues Ali Sayakci.Rock yacht interiorPhoto: Evadne YachtsCharacterised by an enticing interior design with textured fabrics and soft furnishings juxtaposed against maple wood finishes and angular three-dimensional shapes, the yacht’s inviting interior is akin to a contemporary loft apartment. The dining area features one of the largest glass panels found on board a 26m yacht, providing panoramic vistas, while in the owner’s cabin a private terrace is complemented by a sweeping 180-degree view.” She also has three further guest cabins and a Jacuzzi on her sundeck to complete the package.Rock yacht cruising
