The Newport Charter Yacht Show is one of only six charter-focused shows in the world. Next week it opens its gates to charter yacht brokers and industry VIPs from the 23rd to 26th June, for four days of waterfront festivities at the Newport Yachting Center in Newport, USA. Now in its 32nd year, the event explores the many avenues of luxury chartering in New England and invites charter professionals and consumers to tour a selection of sailing and motoryachts, ranging in size from 80 feet up to 150 to 225+ feet.
There are 27 yachts signed up for the show. With the Caribbean Island of St Maarten a prime charter destination for New England, the Government of St. Maarten/Port of St. Maarten will also be in attendance to show their support.
This year the Newport Exhibition Group Show Director, Nancy Piffard, has commented that there are a record number of brokers and agents signed up to attend, with a host of new events to keep everyone busy. The 24th and 25th June will see crewmembers onboard participating in Crew Competitions, a series of contests that will put the participants hospitality and culinary skills to the test. Several shoreside exhibits are also part of the event mix and include industry-focused seminars and a vibrant “Yacht Hop.”
The Newport Exhibition Group has chosen the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County as the official charitable partner of the 32nd Newport Charter Yacht Show.
