The 33.5-metre Piet Smit Jr sailing yacht No.6 Texel has entered the market. The Dutch-built yacht was delivered in 1921 and has been meticulously maintained and was refitted in 2006 by Atollvic Shipyard in Spain.No.6 Texel was inspired by old Baltimore schooners and built at the P Smit shipyard in Rotterdam, the Netherlands where she operated as a pilot schooner. In 1933, she was purchased by a Philadelphian cotton tycoon where she was turned into a luxury yacht. After the Second World War the sailing yacht for sale was sold to King Farouk I of Egypt and remodelled to provide regal comfort. No.6 Texel was refitted in 2006, where her hull received an 85 percent steel replacement, an interior reconfiguration and her engines capacity was increased.The 96 GT yacht for sale is able to accommodate up to seven guests across four sumptuous staterooms. Each room is adorned with light wood panelling and brass fittings to create a timeless interior design.
