An all-new CdM 39m Acciaio 130 has been revealed – and sold

Written by Alexander Griffiths

Cantiere delle Marche has sold an all-new model from its Acciaio range: the Acciaio 130. It’s the third unit from the line and will sit alongside the 32-metre Acciaio 105 Gatto and the 37.35-metre Acciaio 123 Astrum. She’ll be the largest from the series with a length of 39.42-metres and a beam of 8 metres. Acciaio 130 yacht renderingMuch like her sister ships, the Acciaio 130 is a semi-custom motor yacht that features a design and naval architecture drawn up by Sergio Cutolo/Hydro Tec. She’s characterised by a tri-decked configuration, a flared bow and sweeping exterior lines.

The owner has requested two master suites: one on the main deck forward and the second will be full-beam and located on the lower deck, amidship. She’ll also be equipped with two more guest cabins, which will also be situated on the lower deck. Other key features include a 30 square-metre gym on the upper deck and an impressive skylounge on her sundeck. As she'll be used primarily for long fishing excursions, the owner has requested her to be designed with a fishing cockpit and storage for rods, tackle and bait in a large lazarette.Cantiere delle Marche Acciaio 105 Gatto launchPhoto: Cantiere delle Marche“We are delighted with the client’s strong interest in this design which brought to a high level of customisation and interesting features,” says Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and Sales & Marketing Director of CdM. “Acciaio 130 will be a purposeful passagemaker tailored to the exacting requirements of her owner for long-range cruising. The client has been introduced by Jonacor Marine and in the light of the high level of professionalism of all parties involved we are sure that the construction of this beautiful vessel will represent a great experience for us all.”

The Acciaio 130 will be fitted with a highly-efficient hull and a bulbous bow, which are said to minimise fuel consumption and a 5,000 nautical mile range. Thanks to twin CAT engines, the Acciaio 130 will have a top speed of 13.5 knots.Acciaio 123 yacht AstrumRead: New owner for 37m motor yacht Astrum

The client is very knowledgeable and technical-savvy and his visit to the Cantiere delle Marche facilities proved to be fundamental for the choice of the shipyard,” says Carlo Aquilanti, Sales Manager of CdM. “He found the craftmanship of all the workers to the highest standard and was impressed by the quality of materials, manufacturing and processes throughout all the steps of the build process.”
