In April 2021, SuperYacht Times launched their game-changing virtual 3D world, SYT 3D. Created for yachting enthusiasts, owners, builders and designers, this innovative platform gives you the opportunity to view yachts and designs from some of the industry’s top names, and travel by tender between their bespoke worlds.
Each week we will be highlighting one of the yachts currently viewable in the SYT 3D world, so you can deep dive into the platform and discover them for yourself in their full, three-dimensional form: here.
This week, we take a closer look at the 74-metre superyacht, Barracuda Explorer, which features naval architecture from Turquoise Yachts and an exterior designed by H2 Yacht Design. The explorer yacht’s military-inspired exterior aesthetic is characterised by a vertical bow, large rectangular windows and hard-edges. She sports a seven stateroom layout to accommodate up-to 14 guests.
Despite her explorative roots, the Barracuda Explorer is outfitted with the comforts of a luxury superyacht, such as a beach club situated to the aft, which includes spa facilities, a large aft deck pool, a tender garage forward which houses a 10-metre limousine tender, three Jet Skis and a rescue boat, among other standout features.
The 1,730 GT superyacht is constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She sports twin Caterpillar 3516C engines and cruises at approximately 17 knots.
