40m Benetti superyacht Joy launched in Italy

The 40.8-metre Benetti superyacht Joy was launched yesterday in Livorno, Italy. Joy is the second unit of the Oasis 40m series by Benetti. Her owner oversaw the design and production of the yacht, which has an innovative fibreglass hull and a series of unique custom features, such as an additional private owners terrace on the starboard side.Benetti Oasis yacht Joy launch in Livorno The exterior has been designed by the UK firm RWD, featuring a full-height glazed wheelhouse and broad stern, offering, when the side wings are opened, a 90-square-metre beach area. The superyacht has been designed with a focus on fluidity between interior and exterior spaces, with a large amount of glass used throughout. The interiors are the work of New York-based Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture, and were inspired by the city's iconic open-plan loft spaces. The yacht extends over four decks, offering five staterooms for up to 10 guests, and four cabins for the seven crew members, inclusive of the captain.Benetti Oasis yacht Joy launch in Livorno Joy features a large lounge with side windows that open onto the dining area. In addition to her distinctive design, Joy features an advanced remote control wifi-system, meaning the superyacht can be moored from the stern, rather than from the wheelhouse.

The hull, designed by Pierluigi Ausonio’s firm P.L.A.N.A in partnership with Benetti, has a top speed of 18 knots.
