Brazilian shipyard RioStar is currently underway with the construction of four yachts, with the largest being a new 45.3 metre tri-deck superyacht. The Rio-based yard reports that once the yacht is completed, she will one of the largest to have been built in Latin America.
Designed by Fernando de Almeida, the RioStar 160 ahs been developed to offer the largest possible interior space that the 45 metre platform can provide, while still not excedding the crucial 500gt mark. Her vertical bow and diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system is expected to reduce fuel consumption by up to 30%.
More details on the yacht will follow as her construction progresses.
