The Russian shipyard has launched project Timmerman 47-2, at their yard in Moscow. The launch took place in the presence of the owner’s representatives as well as the yard's management. This is the second 47 m transatlantic super yacht built in Russia.
The steel and aluminium yacht, built under the supervision of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and in compliance with MCA requirements, is a sistership of the first Timmerman 47, developed by Dutch design company Vripack. The yacht is designed for unlimited navigation, and her specially enforced hull will make possible to cruise through broken ice. Warmth saving windows and a contemporary climate system by Heinen & Hopman ensures that guests will feel comfortable at overboard temperature from –20 to +45 °С.
Powered by twin Caterpillar 3412E enable the yacht to run at 13 knots, with a range of 4000 nautical miles.
Inside, valuable and unique species of wood, such as wenge and bubingo, are used, as well as precious marbles and Onyx.
