The Italian Sea Group (TISG) has unveiled the renderings of the new 47-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht. The aluminium-hulled sloop will be able to combine the key hallmarks of the Perini Navi brand including high performance, comfort, liveability and safety. 
The Perini Navi 47m sloop has been restyled to improve the performance and efficiency of the yacht. The sloop features a smart hull design with an extended waterline of more than 43-metres and a straight, deep V-shaped bow to help maintain a steady heel angle.
The Perini Navi 47m sloop has been redesigned to include a host of innovative features, including a newly engineered variable keel draft. The fixed part of the keel – the keel box – has been reduced, freeing up the centreboard dimension that now allows for a maximum draft of 11-metres when the keel is down. The minimum draft when the keel is up, though, is only 3.9-metres, allowing for easy access to shallow waters and harbours. This new design means that her hull efficiency and seaworthiness have now been enhanced.
The new 47m Perini Navi sailing yacht also includes a 62.6-metre carbon fibre mast with an upwind sail set (main sail and jib) of 1,275-square metres. TISG has unveiled that she will also feature a new sail handling system which includes a self-tacking headsail with transversal track and removable staysail. This new rigging and sail handling design will allow for high-speed sailing manoeuvres whilst not compromising on safety.
The Perini Navi sailing yacht has been designed with wide guest areas to provide plenty of entertaining opportunities. She is able to accommodate up to 10 guests with four double staterooms on the lower deck and a convertible owner’s suite with ensuite bathroom.
The Perini Navi sloop has a stylish interior design with an extremely sophisticated and contemporary reinterpretation of the classical marine style. She features a free-flowing design with her aft cockpit and main saloon on the main deck connected by a wide glass sliding door. 
Performance-wise, the Perini Navi 47m sloop will be fitted with twin rudders that can be synchronised through a "fly-by-wire" system, thus allowing for greater manoeuvrability during sailing and when accessing shallow docks. 
She is also fitted with a CAT engine which will provide her with a maximum speed of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots with a range of 3,500 miles. Her retractable bow and stern thrusters will also allow for easy mooring and simple docking.
The new Perini Navi 47m sloop has a planned delivery date of Summer 2024. Edmiston has signed an exclusive agreement to promote and sell the first unit from the series.
