<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4924" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Green Yachts Design Studio (Company)">Green Yachts Design Studio</a> has unveiled the renderings for their new 47.55-metre superyacht concept Tetrosomus 45. The unique design was developed in collaboration with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6898" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cheyenne Yachts (Company)">Cheyenne Yachts</a> and draws inspiration from the obscure Tetrosomus fish.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/246217/image/large-13b4fda8d0ba3a712d84c7900de29f06.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/246217">The design of the explorer yacht is based on the defined geometrics of the fish that lives in the depths of the ocean, over 200-metres below where the pressure is high. Due to this, the Tetrosomus fish has a very robust exoskeleton structure that the Tetrosomus 45 yacht has been modelled on.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/246220/image/large-4661c050d8507007a2c74777cf558b72.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/246220">The Tetrosomus 45 yacht was developed with the outermost part in steel to protect the innermost part in aluminium, creating a hexagonal rectangular structure. She has a high and imposing bow to tackle the most adverse sea conditions, and a lower stern to allow for closer contact with the sea. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/246218/image/large-cff1e7b6ecdca92bc21df033af786872.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/246218">The versatile yacht is available in two designs, a high stern Ushuaia version and an open stern Capri version. Award-winning French yacht designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/53" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Philippe Briand Ltd. (Company)">Philippe Briand</a> has unveiled the first renderings of his new 60-metre sailing yacht concept Kaze. Italy-based designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a> has unveiled the first renderings for a new 48.5-metre superyacht concept. The motor yacht was designed with a specific owner in mind who was looking for a more spacious design from his current 35-metre yacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260720/image/large-2e9f6b915b88c880e8684f344ab2c08d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260720">The strictly displacement hull measures 48.5-metres in overall length, which becomes 46-metres at the waterline. Her hull will be built from steel, while her superstructure will be made of aluminium, with an overall GT of approximately 490 tons.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260722/image/large-ad92f30fb7bdee1f933f4bca4c394d66.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260722">“The hypothetical profile of this 48-metre yacht is a ‘classic trending to modern’ style,” commented designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a>. “We were expressly asked for a semi-vertical bow and other specific choices such as large free areas in her flybridge. The relationship with the water is therefore mainly experienced through the large aft swim platform and its comfortable and inviting access to the sea.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260718/image/large-0ff1a58fb8b29d9b60a500d43c0bbc18.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260718">The owner requested a larger yacht around 50-metres that would allow them to better enjoy their large family during the summer holidays and had some very specific requests for her design. “There had to be large windows, the owner's suite had to be located on the main deck towards the bow, with the four guest and four crew cabins on the lower deck, and the captain's quarters had to be on the upper deck,” explained designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. She also has another 7-metre saloon on her upper deck. “Obviously, at this stage we haven't considered any furniture arrangements,” continued <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. It provides the opportunity to meet and get up to speed on various subjects, from the industry’s performance to possible future scenarios in the field of environmental sustainability and energy transition.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/263039/image/large-78d3aa7afe3bdbaf21892508a58a1942.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/263039"> The first day commenced with welcomes and presentations from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> CEO Alberto Galassi and Chief Commercial Officer Stefano de Vivo, who outlined the latest financial results, and the new models and projects currently under construction. Presentations particularly focused on <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti’s</a> commitment to sustainability, which is a core value at the forefront of the Group’s activities, from emissions reduction to the energy transition.&nbsp;The second day was devoted to training, featuring panel discussions led by management together with world-class partners and experts. There were two sessions, the first being about “Propulsion systems and alternative fuels, with a view to environmental sustainability and compliance with new regulations.” The second session honed in on “Prevention of and response to onboard accidents, with a special focus on managing accidents caused by lithium batteries and new alternatives to hydrocarbon-derived fuels”. Range Rover offered guests the opportunity to visit the Range Rover House, and take a spin on the New Range Rover Sport on a snow-covered track.
