American yacht builder Christensen announced yesterday that their 50-metre motor yacht that is currently under construction, Hull 38, will remain under American ownership following the sale of the project this week to a pair of experienced yachtsmen from New Jersey. The project is only six months from completion at the shipyard in the state of Washington and was initially commissioned by shipyard Chairman, Henry Luke. Hull 38 was listed for sale through Merle Wood & Associates. Christensen hull 38 exterior renderingPhoto: Christensen

Upon completion, Hull 38 will join a long line of successful Christensen yachts in its 50-metre range including Chasseur and Silver Lining, both launched in 2016. Christensen hull 38 under constructionPhoto: ChristensenChristensen hull 38 under constructionPhoto: Christensen

Inside, Hull 38 features a standard layout that will accommodate 12 guests in an on-deck master suite and a full-beam VIP and four guest cabins on the lower deck. The project comes with a few enhancements to the design of the series, including a new engineer’s cabin in the aft lazarette as well as a newly-developed bridge system. Christensen hull 38 under constructionPhoto: Christensen

The interior is expected to continue Christensen’s classic style with the extensive use of walnut panelling and marble stonework.
