Luxury 50m Explorer getaway yacht concept from MP Yacht Design
Barcelona-based studio Marcelo Penna (MP) Yacht Design has delivered its most recent explorer style superyacht concept. The design of the 50.26-metre Explorer has been optimised to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests and 11 crew.
At sub-500 GT, the spacious interiors of the 50-metre Explorer includes a main deck that is divided into two main sections: a spacious owner’s area as well as a large saloon. Outside, a forward-facing Jacuzzi is positioned on the sun deck. The yacht also sports a large 115-square-metre aft deck to accommodate tenders, submarines, cars, and more.
The Explorer vessel comes with an efficient hull to provide long-range cruising and transpacific autonomy – which the designer said is to appeal to those owners wanting to travel for long periods of time to escape the pandemic.
The 50-metre Explorer can travel up to 16 knots and her engines can be outfitted with hybrid propulsion, which reduces environmentally harmful emissions, making her an eco-friendly yacht.
