The high-speed Feadship Totally Nuts embarked on her first day of sea trials this morning on the North Sea. The project designed by Studio De Voogt (exterior) and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design (interior) will be delivered to her owner later this year. According to Feadship, project 706 is designed to reach a top speed of 28 knots with three MTU 1,790 kW engines that drive the yacht’s Wärtsilä water jets. At her cruising speed of 10 knots, Totally Nuts can cover 1,600 nautical miles and with a draft of just 1.85 metres is the perfect 50-metre yacht to explore shallower cruising grounds. These images show off the yacht’s minimalistic deck spaces which have been kept largely clutter-free. A walk-around upper deck connects the aft section where a pool and bar area is located with the open foredeck area with its built-in sun pads/seating areas. A hull opening on the port side stores the yacht’s tender.Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times
