Currently in-build at Cantiere Navale Vittoria, with an expected delivery date of 2024, is the 54.17-metre superyacht Bow Sprit. As the first yacht to be built by Vittoria Yachts, this project is truly special carrying, with it the well-established expertise of her builder that has extensive experience in the production of military and commercial vessels.
Equipped with a reinforced ice belt, the superyacht is capable of reaching some of earth’s most remote destinations such as the glacial waters of the Arctic Circle, Antarctica, and everything in between. With a range of 6,000 nautical miles while cruising at 10 knots, Bow Sprit has truly transatlantic capabilities. Her helipad offers guests even more autonomy, utilising the superyacht as a homebase for remote day trips and adventures. Her tender, stored on the lower deck amidships for an easy launch, provides additional range and flexibility for accessing those hard to reach destinations.
Most noticeable to even the untrained eye, is the imposing, muscular exterior design of Bow Sprit. Designed as a true explorer superyacht, her prowess is evident through her long, strong lines. Her namesake feature is her imposing bow sprit which is a spar that extends from the bow of the vessel. The design feature complements her sinewy figure lending her a leanness and provides balance to her lengthy aft deck and beach club area. Extensive glazing and wide open decks further emphasise Bow Sprit’s explorer style as they provide guests with the opportunity to connect with their natural surroundings from anywhere on board.
Arguably, though packed to the brim with notable features, one of Bow Sprit’s most notable is her massive beach club area. When designing the vessel, Hydro Tec sought to maximise the yacht’s interior volume, while keeping her under 500 GT, as well as her length. The result is a spectacular sweeping deck space which allows guests to enjoy their natural surroundings whether it be the jewel-toned Indian Ocean or the wintry waters of the polar circles. Here, one of the superyacht’s two pools is found as well as space for lounging and sunbathing.
One of Bow Sprit’s central design themes is the connection to the outdoors. Because of her capability to travel to some of the world’s most beautiful and naturally pure destinations, her designers wanted to ensure guests’ enjoyment of the scenery no matter where they are onboard. Her open aft deck provides ample space for guests to connect with nature as well as direct water access to explore all that the sea has to offer. Her tender garage, situated on the lower deck amidships, doubles as a winter garden offering yet another tranquil space onboard. Folding balconies on the main deck supply added views while maintaining a sleek exterior design. Her generous 112 square-metre sun deck features a second pool as well as added lounge and sunbathing space. From here, the crow’s nest can be accessed which provides sweeping views of the surrounding horizons.
Able to accommodate as many as 12 guests across six staterooms, Bow Sprit can also be customised to a five-stateroom layout to further maximise indoor living space. This can be done with ease thanks to the use of removable panelling. A versatile layout allows the owner to tailor the yacht to their needs. One of the superyacht’s six staterooms is her spacious owner’s suite, situated on the main deck forward, which is yet another space with unparalleled views. Huge vertical windows provide plenty of natural light to wake up with, while the room’s forward-facing position maintains the owner’s privacy.
