55m Heesen project Alida coming together

Heesen has recently successfully joined the hull and superstructure of their latest 55m superyacht project Alida. Alida is a 55m Fast Displacement yacht, employing Heesen and Van Oossanen Naval Architecture’s clever Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), that features clean and masculine styling by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, similar to that of superyacht Azamanta.

The 740GT motor yacht will boast low fuel consumption figures thanks to the innovative FDHF. Paired with two MTU 8v 4000 M63 engines, the yacht will have a remarkable range of 4,500nm at 13 knots, with a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Her grand interior volume, designed by Bannenberg & Rowell Deisgn, means the 12 guests on board will be able to comfortably retire in one of 6 spacious staterooms, with the master cabin forward on the main deck, and a further 5 guest cabins on the lower deck consisting of a full beam VIP aft, two twin and two double cabins. Upstairs is a huge 102sqm skylounge where guests are treated to exceptional 180-degree views.

Outside Alida will feature a generous 110sqm sundeck, and a dedicated beach deck, accessible from main deck, or the fixed swim platform.

Currently available for sale, Alida is scheduled to be delivered in Spring 2017 after sea trails to be conducted on the North Sea.
