Rosetti Superyachts has released a new design concept in collaboration with HydroTec, the 55-metre Support Vessel. The shadow yacht has been added to the shipbuilder’s RSY range to complement the line of explorer superyachts currently comprising the 38-metre EXP and 65-metre EXP.Photo: Rosetti SuperyachtsAs a shadow vessel, the 55-metre Support Vessel maximises her mothership by accommodating extra crew and staff members as well as 224 square-metres of open deck space on board. This area can be utilised to store an array of tenders and toys, submarines, a helicopter, and containers for cargo and provisions.Photo: Rosetti SuperyachtsThough it is not her initial purpose, the 55-metre Support Vessel can also host her owner and guests on board. When required, her main deck can be equipped with a saloon and galley, an owner’s suite, and three double cabins. The option to customise her interior design to fit specific needs is possible. According to Ermanno Bellettini, Chairman and CEO of Rosetti Superyachts, the Support Vessel, “embodies the DNA of Rosetti Marino’s experience in the naval sector, offering the market a more comfortable and refined version of a commercial vessel, but preserving at the same time the core characteristics of safety and reliability at sea.”
Her steel hull, built for low hydrodynamic resistance, aluminium superstructure, and balanced weight distribution allow her to cruise comfortably and reliably. Twin engines with a combined 5,200 hp allow her to reach a top speed of 22 knots.
