This week’s SYT 3D yacht of the week is the 55.99-metre superyacht Blue II. The explorer superyacht was built in 2020 by Turquoise Yachts, based in Turkey.Blue II features a distinct exterior aesthetic, reminiscent of a classic steamship. Her exterior lines were penned by Hoek Design Naval Architects. She is Turquoise’s first superyacht to be constructed to IMO Tier III compliance. Fit to take on some of the harshest conditions, she has also been built with a Class 1B steel hull and an ice-breaking bow. Turquoise Yachts and Hoek Design Naval Architects collaborated on her naval architecture.The 790 GT superyacht can accommodate as many as 12 guests between six staterooms. She is operated by a crew of 11. Her interior was designed by Vickers Studio, based in London, and is finished in a neutral colour palette with elements such as teak wood used throughout. Blue II features a wellness centre with a sauna, a steam room, a Turkish bath, a massage room and a gym.Performance-wise, Blue II sports twin Caterpillar diesel-electric engines, which provide her with a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles while cruising at 11 knots.
