Magna Grecia, photographed here in Ibiza, received an extensive refit this year which saw the yacht extended from 58.51 metres to 63.80 metres. Built in 1986 by Elsflether Werft and known by many names over the years including Sakura and October Rose, Magna Grecia’s original exteriors were designed by Douglas Sharp and Donald Starkey, with the latter having collaborated with Terence Disdale for the interiors. Florentine designer Francesco Paszkowski redesigned both the exterior and interior. Besides the extra length, the flydeck was changed significantly with the addition of a new hardtop, sunbeds, a pool, a relaxation area and a dining area. The new interiors are elegant and contemporary, with a choice of wood, lacquered panels, marble and hard leather. Following her six-month-long refit, Magna Grecia cruises at 13 knots and reaches a top speed of 15 knots. In terms of accommodation, she has five staterooms for her guests and eight cabins for crew.
