The elegant and fully custom 70 metre superyacht Numptia will be delivered at the end of this month from the Rossinavi Shipyard in Italy to an experienced owner who specified a yacht to an exacting brief with top levels of workmanship from all those involved in the project. The four main areas of expertise were to be encapsulated in the management, design, engineering and the build.
The owner’s experience of working with Marco Martinelli on a previous project, plus his engineering background and tremendous resources were an important factor when he appointed Martinelli as the owner’s project manager and tasked him with appointing hand picked professionals, some relatively new to the superyacht industry, but all experts in their own fields. The team for the build and engineering, Rossinavi Shipyard, Viareggio; naval architecture by Axis Group Yacht Design; exterior design by Design Studio Spadolini, Florence; interior design by Salvagni Architetti, Rome – an all Italian line up.
"This has been an enjoyable process for me because of the team that was assembled and because of the commitment to quality that Claudio Rossi and his workforce demonstrated," says the owner. "Building a superyacht is a dream: the ultimate opportunity to express one’s views and desires. It’s a competition full of challenges and attention to detail is paramount" continues the owner. "here is no market opportunity for mediocre work, but there is a market opportunity for exquisite work."
Following a few weeks of inaugural chartering this summer, Numptia will make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, exhibited by Burgess.
