Written by Laura Nicholls

Built by Admiral and designed by Tim Heywood to be a modern-day explorer, the 73-metre Italian flagship superyacht Planet Nine is showing off her explorer capabilities as she makes her way off-the-beaten-track down to Antarctica, one of the world's most captivating and unexplored regions. In preparation for her voyage, Planet Nineโ€™s rugged yet refined exterior will help her combat the elements, and her extensive features will keep guests entertained.

Planet Nine will remain in the Antartic region until February 2019 and then embark on an exciting tour to explore destinations such as Patagonia, the Pacific coast of South America and Panama. She will then head back to the Med in time to start the summer season. To make the most out of such a unique experience, Planet Nine is a superyacht packed with every requirement that her guests could ever need. Guests can play on the four exterior decks, the forward part of the vessel which is dedicated just for guests areas, or take to the skies in her brand new custom helicopter from the enormous commercially graded landing pad at the stern for unlimited adventuring.

Imagine the spectacular scenery of this Polar region from the observation deck, which at 15 metres above sea level, the view from here is well worth getting up for.Planet Nine aerialPhoto: Thierry AmellerIf you are interested in joining Planet Nine on her adventure, there is availability still remaining from 4th to 27th January for charters in Antarctica or Southern Patagonia.
