74m Limited Edition Amels Project 242 sold ahead of her delivery in 2024

Amels’ all-new 74-metre motor yacht Project 242 has been sold ahead of her delivery in 2024. Imperial Yachts introduced the new owner to her. This design has captured the imagination of many clients and this one, in particular, is a great example of the Limited Editions concept. The client will receive delivery of their brand new 74-metre yacht in just 2.5 years and has still been able to customise many aspects to create a yacht that suits their specific requirements, Damen Yachting Sales Director, Rob Luijendijk stated. “The entire team at Damen Yachting is looking forward to working with Imperial during the build of this unique project and delivering this Amels 242 to her Owner in 2024.”Amels 242 yacht cruisingPhoto: AmelsLittle is known about the Amels Project 242 apart from that she’s going to feature an array of custom features tailored for her new owner. She’ll also incorporate innovative modifications to her stern to give her a modern charm and additional hydraulic swim stairs.

In terms of specs, she’ll have an interior volume of 1,790 GT and space to accommodate up to 12 guests alongside her 18 crew. Performance-wise, the Amels Project 24208 will be equipped with twin CAT engines that will allow her to cruise at 15 knots. When dialled back to 12.5 knots, she’ll have an impressive 5,000 nautical mile range. Together, they've drawn up a tri-decked elegant motor yacht that is characterised by a long and sinewy bow and a two-toned colour palette. Her interior design will be directed by Winch Design.

Imperial Yachts will now supervise the construction of the yacht, throughout the rest of her build. This marks the thirteenth collaboration between Imperial and Amels.
