86m Aquijo exploring the South Pacific

Aquijo yacht arriving in Nelson Photo: Steven WatkinsPictured here after having recently arrived in Nelson, New Zealand, the sheer enormity of 86-metre Aquijo is made clear. As the largest high-performance ketch in the world and created as a joint project by Dutch shipyards Oceanco and Vitters, Aquijo boasts 5,000 square-metres of sails and a volume of 1,538GT.

Created with outdoor views in mind, Aquijo boasts large windows and open views that soften the distinction between its sophisticated interior and exterior surroundings. Up to 12 guests can enjoy her unique beach club area, complete with a hot tub and sauna and the 24-seating dining table and bar.

Before arriving in New Zealand, Aquijo was spending time in Vanuatu, Figi, and Tonga. She is expected to continue toward Tasmania and Papua New Guinea in March.
