89m Explorer yacht Olivia O goes undercover in Malta for final outfitting

Oliva O, the 88.5-metre explorer project built partly in Croatia and completed to a technical standard by Ulstein in Norway, arrived in Malta at the end of the summer season and is now hauled out at the Palumbo Shipyard where she will undergo final outfitting. The yacht was seen being covered by a fully-enclosed temporary shed that indicates she might receive her final coat of exterior paint and detailing touches over the coming winter months, and that the next time Oliva O is to make an appearance will be on her official launch day as a completed vessel.Olivia O at Ulstein VerftPhoto: Erlend Notoy

Oliva O is the work of superyacht designer Espen Oeino who created a new breed of explorer yacht based on Ulstein’s tested X-Bow platform that has been extensively developed for offshore use in gruelling conditions. Olivia O at Ulstein VerftPhoto: Erlend Notoy

With an immense volume of 4,8989 GT, Olivia O will be the largest yacht in her size range once completed and carry impressive features such as a commercial-rated helicopter platform, 10-metre pool on the main deck and a raised full-beam tender garage located amidships that can be operated even under heavy swell conditions.
