95m Lürssen superyacht Kismet completes sea trials

With exteriors designed by Espen Oeino and interiors by Reymond Langton Design, the newest superyacht from Lürssen, the 95 metre project Global, undertook sea trials over a period of three days in August. Once delivered, she will be named Kismet.

Under optimal weather conditions, functional tests such as the propulsion plant, pump jet, trials of the thruster, steering system, tests of the cooling, lubrication and fuel system as well as the freshwater treatment units were carried out, in addition to the blackout tests as well as the smoke test in the engine room.

The main engines were fine tuned with the stabilisers for trials in the emergency and zero speed functions. The manoeuvring tests were executed to full satisfaction and all other tests carried out on board reportedly achieved excellent results.

The yacht, which has been sold and managed since the start of the project by Moran Yacht & Ship, is now back in the Lürssen yard being readied for her delivery later this month.
