A team of experienced superyacht designers and developers, headed by The New Yachts Company, have joined forces in order to create a new fully developed superyacht platform, set to change the way the industry think about the semi-custom superyacht experience.
Prime is an engineered 50-metre platform design to support a range of different superstructures and interior layouts. Clients are offered a ‘Collection’ of different styles to suit their preferences, pre-designed by studios by the likes of Reymond Langton Design and Luiz de Basto.
Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture is behind the project’s flexible engineering solutions, including all pipework, electrical and mechanical systems. “PRIME is in our minds a platform that offers so much space that it creates a 70-metre yachting experience on a 50-metre yacht,” comments Bob van den Meiracker of Azure Yacht Design.
Clients are also encouraged to further develop the concept by working with the original design team, or relying on any other designer of their choice.
The project will be built entirely from aluminium at Bloemsma Yachts in the Netherlands. Headed by Daan Balk, the shipyard will be working together with all technical members of the build team to deliver a seamless experience, as Prime was designed to be.
