Motor yacht Soaring, the new 68.2-metre superyacht to come from Abeking & Rasmussen’s construction facility in Lemwerder, Germany, has set off on her first day of sea trials yesterday following the yacht’s launch just last month. Over the coming weeks, the shipyard and client’s teams will be testing Soaring’s navigation and safety systems out on the North Sea before handing the vessel over to its owner in April.
The project’s elegant exterior and contemporary interiors are the design work of German studio Focus Yacht Design and features accommodation for up to 12 guests in six staterooms, including the master suite on the aft upper deck and the additional five staterooms on the main deck. The owner’s deck is also home to a library and a private aft deck with lounging areas.Photo: Tom van Oossanen / Abeking & Rasmussen
An elegant wellness centre connects with the beach club at the stern of the yacht and leads out onto the generous swim platform. From here, guests will be able to access the water toys and tenders and be assisted by a crew of up to 17.Photo: Tom van Oossanen / Abeking & Rasmussen
Built to the specifications of Lloyd's Class with a size of over 1,500 GT, Soaring and her construction process was managed by Superyacht Technical Services on behalf of the owner. Now available for charter with Ocean Independence, Soaring is set to cruise the Mediterranean, specifically Naples, Sicily, Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia.
