AirYacht: The radical 60m airship yacht that is flying into the future

Designer Franck Darnet and AirYacht are reinventing the way we travel in flight and at sea with a new 60-metre superyacht that comes attached to a 200-metre airship. AirYacht is the luxury yacht that has the ability to fly and cruise the world thanks to a detachable air balloon that can fly at up to 50 knots. AirYacht yacht exteriorPhoto: AirYachtThe eye-catching design reinvents both air navigation and yachting with two units that can be separated or united according to use. The 200-metre air balloon and residence is able to carry a 60-metre yacht with 750 square-metres of living space. AirYacht has three stories of accommodation with five to six staterooms, for up to 12 guests including an owner’s suite. AirYacht is also able to carry a crew of 12 and a piloting crew of three, who are accommodated on the third story.AirYacht yacht saloonPhoto: AirYachtAirYacht yacht owners suitePhoto: AirYachtAirYacht is equipped with a lift, so there is no need to land the aircraft and disembark when aboard. She has been designed to not only reinvent navigation but to also respond to concerns about the future; she is said to be ten to fifty times less polluting than an equivalent yacht of her size. She features 350 square-metres of outdoor space that helps to ensure her guests always live in comfort and luxury. AirYacht’s foredeck and aft deck are equipped with a Jacuzzi and a swimming pool. Her other amenities include a hammam, gym, a garage for cars, jet skis and tenders and a touch and go helipad.AirYacht yacht aerialPhoto: AirYachtAirYacht yacht exteriorPhoto: AirYachtInnovation and technology have been a priority for the AirYacht project, with various skills and techniques used to develop her. The new era and return of airships prompted the need to carry heavy loads by air using a fraction of the energy usually needed. AirYacht builds on this airship revolution to support the rapid development of advanced technologies.AirYacht yacht exteriorPhoto: AirYachtAirYacht is beginning a fundraising phase during the first quarter of 2022 to make her a reality.
