First Amels 206 superyacht launched in Vlissingen

A busy period of pre-summer deliveries from Amels and Damen kicked off in style yesterday with the successful launch of the first Amels 206 superyacht, a project which was sold to her owner in the third quarter of 2019. Amels 206 superyacht launch in VlissingenPhoto: Amels

“It’s a wonderful build milestone to see her outside,” commented Build Captain Fraser Gow. Designed by Tim Heywood as part of the Amels Limited Editions Range, the 62.5-metre superyacht is dressed in a custom light grey hull and crisp white superstructure. “Everyone’s done an exceptional job,” continues Gow, “particularly on the finish which you can really appreciate now she’s outside. We’re all very excited to commence sea trials and commissioning of all her systems ahead of delivery.”Amels 206 superyacht launch in VlissingenPhoto: Amels

The interior design is the result of a collaboration between Laura Sessa and the Amels interior design team. In the master suite, the owner will be able to enjoy signature round windows and will be able to be accompanied by up to 11 additional guests. Other onboard features include two VIP suites on the bridge deck, a large sundeck complete with Jacuzzi and Teppanyaki grill as well as a garage for up to two eight-metre tenders on the lower deck.  Amels 206 superyacht launch in VlissingenPhoto: Amels

Hailing from the Asia-Pacific region, her owner intends on using this new yacht for global cruising. “She is a beautiful yacht with striking curves," commented  Amels and Damen Managing Director Rose Damen at the time of the sale. “We’re proud to be completing this yacht for our client and can’t wait to see her on her maiden voyage next year.”Amels 206 superyacht launch in VlissingenPhoto: Amels
