Last week, Amels successfully completed the heaviest crane lift ever at its yard in Vlissingen, when they joined the hull and superstructure of their 83 metre project. The Dutch yard published a series of impressive photos on their Facebook page of this event.
Three cranes in the newly commissioned 200-metre drydock lifted the 120 tonne aluminium superstructure over the 83-metre hull of the first Amels 272.
The yacht's sleek curves and elongated deck spaces are designed by Tim Heywood, who took full advantage of the 83-metre hull form to disguise a large-volume yacht of 2,800 Gross Tons in a very streamlined profile.
