The first 70-metre Amer 70 Steel superyacht from Permare is now under construction in Tuscany, Italy, she is a fully custom design for a European client and will be delivered in 2026. The displacement yacht features contemporary lines from the boards of the La Spezia based designer Antonio Luxardo of Optima Design.
Guilio Riva will contribute his thirty years of experience in the steel industry to the Amer 70 Steel superyacht as the director of works and quality control, while Luxury Projects has been tasked with the interior design. Laura Pomponi, who heads up the studio, is already working closely with the San Remo shipyard on another Permare yacht and has a close relationship with the shipyard and the Amerio family who have owned the shipyard for 50 years.
In addition to the new steel segment, the shipyard has bolstered its composite team and has scaled up the construction of the 35.5-metre Amer 120 model.
