Genoa-based refit yard Amico & Co announced plans to upgrade its facilities during the Monaco Yacht Show last week.

The focal point of the expansion is a 4,000-tonne shiplift, which will be capable of lifting yachts up to around 95-metres from the water. Once ashore, the large superyachts can be moved around without interfering with other parked yachts. In addition, the two existing covered graving docks of 90 and 102-metres are also set to be upgraded. Part of this marina is slated to open in November 2018. The marina will cover an area of approximately 60,000 m2. Investments have been made in new quays, parking spaces, improved logistics, crew-dedicated areas, public areas and services, with 80% of the investment completed by 2019. The Marina will mainly accommodate superyachts up to 110-metres length overall.
