Andy Waugh Yacht Design’s new 75m Expedition superyacht

Andy Waugh Yacht Designs have come up with a new 75 metre design project that houses a large volume and excellent long-distance cruising capabilities. Her modern appearance comes with an array of expedition-friendly amenities such as a full set of exploration tenders, a large helicopter hangar and a 5000nm range.

The British design studio was challenged by the client to add a number of unique and must-have features into the 75 metre platform. To achieve this, Expidition was designed with a wide beam of 14 metres and now house a volume similar to that of a conventional 90 metre vessel. Her beam allows for a 10m long and 4m wide swimming pool on the owners deck, and large permanent heli pad above on the bridge deck aft with its own hanger, able to accomodate a Eurocopter 135.

Inside, 14 guests are catered for over 7 staterooms. Main deck has been dedicated to the 2 VIP and four guest cabins with the main salon and master cabin located on the owner’s deck above.

Two side opening garages house Expedition’s two 11 metre tenders. At 15 knots she will be able to reach 5000nm. The project has an estimated build cost of around EUR 100,000,000.
