The Informa Yacht Group unveiled more details for the upcoming Singapore Yacht Show that will see a flotilla of luxury superyachts streaming into Singapore for a new exclusive yacht show. The Singapore Yacht Show, which will be held from 8 to 10 April at ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove, will see luxury boat builders, brokers, designers and naval architects converging at the glamorous waterside venue for the exhibition. A series of networking events, business meetings, cocktail receptions, and a gala dinner will complement the event, together with an industry thought-exchange at the third annual Asia Superyacht Conference, which will take place on the 7 and 8 April. Asia has a growing segment of HNWIs who have prospered in the region’s financial boom, especially in the growing economic powerhouses of China and India. Today, seven out of 10 new billionaires are from the South-East Asian region. This increasing nouveau riche segment represents a largely untapped market for the superyacht industry, a gap that Informa Yacht Group aims to address with The Singapore Yacht Show. “Singapore has the greatest concentration of millionaire households at 11.4 per cent of the country’s total population. In actual fact, the average length of the current in-build yachts in Turkey is 49 meters, with many of these yachts being motor yachts and motor-sailors as well as gulets. The country is the number one destination for gulet charter, but also offers guests the opportunity to experience the breathtaking coastline onboard a variety of different types of yacht.

The cash portion of the purchase price was reduced from $850 million to $551 million after Inmarsat paid a $299 million special dividend to its shareholders in April 2022. The shares issued to the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4064" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Inmarsat plc (Company)">Inmarsat</a> shareholders at the closing represent an aggregate of approximately 37.6 percent of the total shares of Viasat common stock on a fully diluted basis, with no Inmarsat shareholder receiving shares representing 10% or more. In connection with closing of the acquisition on May 30, 2023, Viasat drew down on approximately $1.35 billion of its committed financing package, including a $617 million secured term loan facility and a $733 million unsecured bridge loan. The lower financed amount reflects in part the reduction in the cash component of the purchase price.
