Arcadia Yachts has launched the latest 23.8-metre motor yacht from its Sherpa 80 XL series. This latest iteration of the yacht series features a new layout, and offers accommodation for as many as 10 guests, across five staterooms. The launch took place at Arcadia Yachts’ facilities on the Sorrento coastline of Italy. The model was redefined for her owner who requested a number of changes made to meet his personal needs. Along with the additional two staterooms, the owner desired Arcadia’s new “Jardin D’Hiver” for the aft deck, which allows for the stern to be closed off without compromise to the deck space. As the general arrangement was remapped for more accommodation, the interior of the latest Sherpa 80 XL is different to her predecessors and was curated by Buratti Architects, an Italian studio chosen by the owner. The most notable change is her galley, which opens onto the skylounge, and has been described to blend conviviality, hospitality and cuisine in “perfect Italian style”.The Italian studio Hot Lab handled her exterior styling, while it was Arcadia Yachts that penned her naval architecture. The Sherpa 80 XL propulsion system is based on Volvo Penta IPS technology, providing a range of 1,200 nautical miles at 10 knots and the ability to reach speeds of up to 23 knots. Arcadia Yachts has installed a collection of solar panels onboard that provide around 3kW of clean energy, enough to power the yacht’s main hospitality services. The owner of this latest Sherpa 80 XL is a new client of Arcadia Yachts and was present at the launching ceremony.
