On July 1 2011, the first Azimut Grande bound for the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean was delivered to her owners. Part of the Azimut Grande collection, the Azimut Grande 105’ is a planing boat which together with the superyachts built at Benetti, make up Azimut-Benetti's megayacht division.
The first Grande 105' was shipped to Miami, where she was unloaded. The yacht then sailed over 1,000 nautical miles to reach the Caribbean destination of La Romana in the Dominican Republic. During the challenging crossing, both the yacht's owner and her captain were impressed and enthusiastic about the yacht’s technical and seakeeping qualities.
The owner and a select circle of guests were waiting at the destination to celebrate the official delivery, christening and launch ceremony. The party continued on board, giving the guests the opportunity to experience the yacht's excellent layout and exquisite cherry interior.
The Azimut Grande 105’ will remain in La Romana for a couple of few days before setting sail again for her inaugural cruise to the Virgin Islands.
