Baltic Yachts are one of the world’s leading builders of advanced composite yachts. The company has 31 International design award wins in 10 years, with Perseverance 1 among those yachts to claim an accolade. The award-winning 35.8-metre sailing yacht was delivered in 2021 from Finland where she started off life as Baltic 117. Now we are taking a closer look onboard this exceptional super sailing yacht.

Perseverance is characterised by her distinctive pilot cutter-style features, including a straight stem, bowsprit, counter stern and deep bulwarks. She also has a very modern approach to emissions and the environment.

Perseverance’s fixed bowsprit also enables a multitude of upwind and downwind sails to be set at the touch of a button.

A key feature of Perseverance is her ability to conserve power by using waste air conditioning energy to heat the yacht’s water system, developing smart lighting and aircon systems in individual staterooms, and rationalising the number of pumps in the yacht’s various systems.

Her interior is characterised by grey white stained oak for the general furniture finish while the white painted upper bulkheads are fitted with horizontal shadow gaps, increasing the spatial feeling. Perseverance also uses contrasting floors that are finished in dark maple with highlights of this wood in some of her finishings.

Her master suite is located to the fore with her remaining three double guest accommodations situated amidships. She is also operated by a crew of six who are accommodated across three cabins.

She is fitted with an electric propulsion system powered by a lithium ion battery bank this global cruising yacht will be able to operate in ‘silent’ mode for long periods.

She can also charge her batteries while sailing by using her electric propulsion motor as a generator driven by her free-wheeling propeller.
