Baltic Yachts has signed a contract for 116 footer last summer. The owner wants a high-performance cruiser for taking his family sailing in the Medi terranean. With naval architecture by judel/vrolijk, the Baltic 116 will have a deckhouse with a carbonfibre bimini hard for plenty of protection from the sun.
The hull will be constructed from carbon composite, and fitted with a lifting keel. There will be emphasis on creating a quiet and comfortable boat, with noise vibration reduction the priority list.
The interior design for will come from Nauta will come from Nauta Design and the clean lines and the teak combined with light panels will create a classic yet timeless classic atmosphere . The layout includes 7 cabins.
Production is due to start in January 2013 with a delivery scheduled for October 2014.
