Italian builder Benetti has delivered the sixth Fast 125 unit in the Class product line, the 38.1-metre motor yacht Charade, to her owner at the company’s shipyard in Viareggio. Charade’s delivery comes less than three months after her launch. Like the other vessels in the Fast category, she is built from composite materials and carbon fibre and fitted with the Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65) propulsion system developed together with Rolls Royce. Photo: Benetti Spa She also shares the same D2P Displacement to Planing hull with wave piercer as My Way, the fifth Fast 125 superyacht. Designed by Pierluigi Ausonio with the Azimut Benetti Research and Development centre, this technology delivers reduced consumption at cruising speed and a top speed of over 20 knots, giving Charade a maximum speed of 22 knots and cruising speed of 17.5 knots.
Featuring an exterior design by Stefano Righini, her sporty, flowing lines compliment the interior decor by UK design firm RWD, with contributions from the owner and the shipyard’s team. The end result is a modern design, with clean simple lines that are embellished by polished metal accents through the vessel. For example, steel is used for the frames of artwork on board, as well as for televisions and bed headboards in the guest cabins. Photo: Benetti Able to accommodate 11 guests, Charade features four guest cabins on the lower deck, two VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms and two cabins with a sliding and pullman bed respectively. Her full-beam owner’s cabin is located forward on the main deck and features a private bathroom decorated with onyx and “larch” marble. Stand out features on board include her steel and glass aerial stairway, designed by RWD, the plexiglass grand piano located in her informal living area, and her custom swimming pool located in the bow area on the upper deck.
