62m Benetti FB283 superyacht launched

The 62-metre full custom Benetti FB283 superyacht was launched on 26 January at Benetti’s Livorno facility in Italy. The custom superyacht features interior and exterior design by Italy-based designer Giorgio Cassetta of Cassetta Yacht Design and marks the studio’s eighth yacht over 60-metres to hit the water since 2018.Benetti FB283 yacht launch The yacht is characterised by long and smooth flowing lines and is described by Cassetta as “smooth as a rock polished by a river.” She features naval architecture from her builder Benetti in collaboration with Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

Benetti FB283 yacht launch Benetti have been nothing but exceptional at delivering a project which, since its inception, harboured the ambition of merging the finest execution with a highly demanding technical specification. Not to mention that the engineering happened during the initial phase of the pandemic, and despite this, thanks to a great team effort, the yacht will be delivered on time,” commented Giorgio Cassetta.Benetti FB283 yacht launch She was designed for a very private owner with a clear brief on creating a family-oriented configuration. She features large storage spaces for tenders and toys and provides a vast amount of light to her modern interior. Her elegant exterior design showcases her massive oval capping rails and natural teak panels, as well as complementing her solid wood and stone furniture.Benetti FB283 yacht launch The FB283 has been designed to maximise enjoyment on the water; she features a fully-equipped diving centre, two Jet Skis, two tenders (one of which is 10-metres in length), and a touch-and-go helipad.

With 970 GT of interior volume and six staterooms, the FB283 can comfortably accommodate as many as 12 guests. She also has nine cabins that can host a total of 15 crew. Thanks to twin MTU engines and Caterpillar generators, the FB283 has a 4,500 nautical mile range at 12 knots and can reach speeds up to 21 knots.

Throughout the project, Nicolai Yacht Consulting and Project Management acted as the owner’s representative and managed the entire build on their behalf. The yacht will now move to her final outfitting phase, where she will then dock and complete her sea trials. She has an expected delivery date of April 2023.
