Best brokerage sail yachts from the Med

Market

Maarten and Merijn recently visited the Antibes Yacht Show and the MYBA show in Nice to bring you the best selection of brokerage yachts from the Mediterranean. We visited both motor and sail yachts and in this first part, we bring you the best sail boats for sale in the Med. Next week we will focus on the available motor yachts.

Thendara

Designed by the renowned Alfred Milne & Co, Thendara was launched in 1937 at Alexander Stephens & Co. After 64 years and two major refits during the last years she is again in top condition and highly competitive among large classic yachts.

The interior of Thendara combines the best of both worlds; a genuine 1930’s ambiance with all the contemporary comforts. Air-conditioning, generators, watermakers and modern electrical systems are all carefully concealed so as not to spoil the period charm.

Thendara can accommodate six guests and three crew. The guests have two double cabins and a twin cabin with en-suite facilities. In the bow section are the galley, crew mess and two crew cabins.

Thendara is available at 4,950,000 EU through Edmiston yachts. For more information please contact CA Mike Horsley: [email protected]

Diamond for Ever

Diamand for Ever is a unique sailing created by some of the biggest names in the yacht industry; Royal Huisman, Jon Bannenberg, Ron Holland & Pieter Beeldsnijder. She started her life as Acharné in 1987 and she was completely refitted in 1995/96 by Royal Huisman.

Below decks she houses an elegant classical interior. With in the centre a round dining area with on the portside a desk on the other side the main salon with round sofa's around the big hull windows, giving you a great view over the sea!

The owner’s suite and two twin guest cabins all with en-suite are in the aft part of the yacht. The 36m Diamond for Ever is available at 5,900,000 EU through Edmiston Yachts. For more information please contact Edmiston Yachts.

Black Molly III

This recently refitted Jongert 26 Traditional was on display by Dahm International. A special feature of the 30m Black Molly III is the hydraulic swim platform which can also be used as a gangway and when not in use the tender is stored on top of it.

Black Molly III houses three spacious and luxurious owner and guest cabins. The living area consists of a saloon and deck saloon connected by an open gallery. The large owner’s suite and two en-suite guest cabins are in the aft part of the yacht.

Thanks to its well thought-out cabin arrangement, this carefully maintained ship is also perfect for charter use: the crew area with two en suite cabins, kitchen and dinette has a separate entrance on deck and direct access to the engine room.

Black Molly III is offered at 4,400,000 EU. For more information, please contact Dahm International.

Ameena

The modern Jongert 2900M Ameena excels in light winds and can be sailed comfortably with a small crew which is situated separately from owner and guests.

The deckhouse features seats on both sides and to enjoy the nice weather the roof of the deckhouse can be opened over the whole length.

Below deck, Ameena offers a beautiful light and elegant interior. The generous luxurious owner suite and the two guest cabins, each as comfortable as a master cabin, captivate by the modern bright "penthouse" style.

The tender is stored on the fore deck and the tender storage place can be filled with water to create a small swimming pool. In 2004, this cruiser-racer won the Showboats Award for the best sailing yacht up to 40 metres in length.

Ameena is available at 8,500,000 EU, for more information and please contact Dahm International.

Ladies First

The 27m Ladies First is a very successful blend of classic and modern mahogany composite construction with a long keel for long distances, comfort and seaworthy cruising. She has a powerful sloop rig with twin wheels and twin engines.

When entering the deckhouse from the aft deck you have to starboard a large seating area with a huge TV Screen and on portside is a beautiful red/white lounge sofa.

Going downstairs to the forward area there are two guests cabins on both sides and in the bow is the spacious and luxurious owner’s suite. She is one of the only sailing yachts in the world that features a hamam in the owner’s suite.

If you missed Ladies First at the MYBA show, don’t worry, she is available for inspection during the Imperia Classic Yacht meeting. Ladies First is available at 3,500,000 EU, please contact Ocean Independence for more information.
